Broadwall Surface Prep & Seal

Product Description

Resene Broadwall Surface Prep & Seal is a high build basecoat designed for roller application over stopped and jointed wall systems. It equalises surface porosities; smoothes minor surface irregularities; minimises textural differences; seals the surface and provides a perfect base for subsequent Resene finishes. Is a key element to achieving a level 5 finish on paperfaced plasterboard.

Typical uses:
- Air dry (polymer based) stoppings and finishing compounds,
- Gypsum based stoppings and finishing compounds
- MDF
- Paperfaced plasterboard
- Pine

Colour: Off-white when dry.

Performance:
1. Good adhesion to MDF, Pine, stoppings and finishing compounds.
2. High build surfacer, which does not require sealing prior to application of Resene waterborne finishes.
3. Sandable.
4. Surface reinstatement after stripping wallpaper.
5. Upgrade level of finish of existing painted walls.
6. An Environmental Choice and Good Environmental Choice approved product.

Limitations:
1. Not designed to fill large gaps or cracks (use an appropriate stopping or finishing compound).
2. Not designed to block stains.
3. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period.
4. Resene Broadwall Surface Prep & Seal is designed to be overcoated with Resene waterborne finishes.
5. Not recommended for exterior use.
